Richard

State Farm Insurance called today and gave me the news I dreaded.  My beloved Passat that had served me well so many years was totaled.   They gave me a above average price because I had kept the baby in such nice condition.  But that is no substitute for a good car and the memories and … Read More “Bye, Bye VW Passat” »

Damn it!  I got hit yesterday.  I was coming home after a long week and I was looking forward to a nice weekend.   It was 5:00 and traffic was moving quite nicely for once.  I was coming up on the 238/580 split and traffic was starting to slow down.    As I reached the BART plaftorm next … Read More “Burnout Revenge: Reality Style” »

It started innocent enough.   Well honestly, I suppose it didn’t.  I was away from home more these days.  The company I work for is very profitable and has been on a buying binge.   My job is to integrate or replace the various technology platforms of the many companies we’ve acquired.   I was not a high … Read More “Widget Lover” »

Today sucked! I’m sick, Regina is sick, Alex is sick and Ethan is sick and this is the first day it hit above 75 in San Leandro! Regina and the kids have been battling the cold for almost a week. I think Alexander caught it at school and brought it home as a present for … Read More “No Wax Ear” »

Just had an earthquaqe in the bay area. It was a 4.3 in Lafayette which is about 20 odd miles as the California Condor flies. Regina and I were sitting in our bedroom and it felt to us as if the house had been hit from the side. Everything is fine and it was over … Read More “Shak’n and a Roll’n” »

Because some said I wasn't

Family, Richard

I made a reference the other day in a meeting that I was a ‘young, ditzy blonde’.   My well intentioned colleagues disputed my claim.   Well as you can see I have proof.  In fact I think that is 60 proof. Man did I get blasted that day.   Ah good times, good times.
