Dude: “We need to upgrade because the old version was … like old.”
Me: “Was it broke?”
Dude: “It was old, man.”
Me: “How much will it cost to migrate?”
Dude: “Don’t know, it is old.”
Me: “So you are upgrading because it is old?”
Dude: “Yeah and the vendor don’t support it no more.’
Me: “It ain’t broke, it is just old. But you can’t hack it, pardon the pun, so you want to upgrade it but you have not calculated the cost?”
Dude: “It is old. You know, you are supposed to upgrade stuff when it is old.”
And thus my entire problem with this world is encapsulated in an inane conversation with another technophile consumer.
Crazy. But true.
“Old” how do you upgrade MOM ?
